Mark Thornton

Mark has over 25 years experience in the IT industry most of which in engineering, architectural and strategic roles. He has a heavy background in datacenter technologies such as CI, HCI, storage, network, compute, data center automation, and management. His key areas of expertise include virtualization, with a deep focus on VMware and high-density virtualized environments, data center consolidation and transformation, IT security, data center automation/scripting, and VDI.

Being in the Field CTO role, Mark works with strategic accounts across North America, EMEA, and APJ to understand trends in product across theatres, and support of strategic sales opportunities. In addition, Mark assumes the role of a thought leader across multiple infrastructure disciplines – engineered systems, converged infrastructure, hyper-converged, facilities, storage, network, compute, data center management, orchestration, multi-cloud operation, and design.
